The Mysterious Case of the Allbright Academy

Dianne Stanley
Description
Franny knows she was accepted to the Allbright Academy because they were desperate to recruit her brilliant and talented younger sister, Zoe. Allbright accepts only the brightest students, the "leaders of tomorrow." The campus, the teachers, and the food, especially the brownies, are all first rate and perfect. For Franny, it seems too perfect. The unspoken rule at Allbright is conformity and achievement above all else, even if it means breaking ties with the outside world. When Franny's oldest friend from the neighborhood points out the change in her persona, Franny becomes suspicious and starts to investigate the school. She and a few new friends discover that the reason for the students high test scores and complacency is due to drugs in the brownies. The administration is on a quest to create future leaders that will run the country how they see fit. Will Franny and her friends be able to stop the administration? The story is exciting and suspenseful as Franny and her friends fight for their personal freedom to choose their own future.
