There are millions of refugees all over the world. In this story, we are transported into the Pakistani refugee camp of two girls from Afghanistan, Lina and Feroza. The two girls become bonded by a single pair of yellow sandals with a blue flower. How can two girls, with four feet, share a single pair of sandals? Managing to do so isn't trouble-free. What will happen if one of the girl's families gets to go to America? Who will get to keep the shoes they both love so much? Nominated for a California Young Reader Medal 2010-2011.
