In a modern retelling of the classic "Little Red Riding Hood", "Sisters Red" is the story of Scarlett and Rosie March. They have not lived a normal life since a fenris (werewolf) killed their grandmother and nearly killed Scarlett as she protected Rosie from harm. Now years later, the girls are grown up and are hunters of the fenris. Scarlett feels it is her duty to protect other young girls from the vicious predators. Rosie hunts with Scarlett because she feels an obligation and loyalty to Scarlett; however, hunting is not a calling for Rosie and she dreams of a different life. Her feelings become even more conflicted when she starts to fall for Scarlett's only friend, Silas. What will that mean for Scarlett and Rosie's relationship? But that question is put on hold as more and more girls are killed or missing. Scarlett, Rosie and Silas must figure out why so many fenris are gathering. What or who are they looking for? Will they figure it out before more girls die?
