Cyrus, Dan and sister Antigone have been though a lot the last 3 years. Their dad died, their mom is in a coma, and they have lost their home. The only way they can survive is to run The Archer, a run-down hotel with one occupant. For these kids, everyday is as miserable as the last. That is until a strange man, with even stranger tattoos comes to the hotel demanding room 111-Cyrus's room. Within 24 hours of the strange man's arrival, The Archer burns to the ground, Dan is kidnapped, and Cyrus and Antigone are swearing an oath to a secret society of explorers and keepers of ancient secrets and powers. In order to get Dan back, Cyrus and Antigone must navigate this new world. A difficult task when it seems there is no one they can trust.
