Conversion
Description
The girls of St. Joan's Academy in the small town of Danvers are under a lot of pressure to succeed. There is competition for valedictorian, acceptance to the Ivy League, and boys. "It" strikes the most popular girls first. The "It" is a mystery illness that is overtaking the girls at St. Joans. The symptoms include hair loss, seizures, coughing fits and more. As more and more girls succumb to the illness, parents and students start to panic and look desperately for the cause and solution. Soon it becomes national news and St. Joan's is overrun with reporters. Is it pollution, immunizations, or are the girls faking it. Or could it be something more sinister? Colleen is reading The Crucible and learns that Danvers was once the town called Salem Village. Could the things happening today have anything to do with the girls involved in the Salem Witch trials 300 years ago? Conversion is spine tingling mystery.
