When Noemi and her mother arrive in Tijuana, Mexico. They discover that an unofficial ledger is being kept of refugees seeking asylum in Mexico. When the current keeper of the notebook is called to go into the US and plead their case for asylum, Noemi and her mother must take charge of caring for the notebook. Soon weeks turn into months.
