Fifty beauty pageant contestants were on their way to the Miss Teen Dream competition when their plane crashes on a desert island. The survivors are left with little food, water, and not much make-up. Thinking they will be rescued soon, the girls continue to practice their talent and q&a. As Miss Texas states, "In the pageant of life, a girl picks up fallen sequins and turns them into a brand-new dress of awesome." They soon realize that help is not coming. It is up to these Teen Dream girls to build shelter, gather water, fight off mutant snakes, reality TV pirates and the nefarious mega conglomerate, The Corporation. The girls are also learning that they are more to them than great hair and make-up. It's possible the girls needed "an island to find themselves. Maybe they need a place where on one's watching so they can be who they really are."
