This book is so terrifying because it is not out of the realm of possibility, especially for those who live in California. A drought or “Tap-Out” is officially making the lives of millions impossible. No water for lawns, pools, everyday showers and the list goes on and on. But then it is all gone...NO WATER. Suddenly, neighborhoods and families are hoarding drinking water but even that runs out. The government is no help and simple things like police, and electricity are suddenly disappearing. For Alyssa’s and her brother, things get desperate when her parents don’t return from looking for water. What will they do? Should they go looking for their parents or wait? Both decisions mean possible death. Dry was a page turner! It is definitely a book not to be missed.
