Duck is a merry-go-round animal who dreams of flying like a real duck. One day, she meets a tiny duckling and they share all the same dreams and have lots of fun together. But when the duckling grows up, it's to be expected that he will fly away. Duck tries to show her young friend how and realizes she can't. Instinct kicks in and Duckling joins a flock. Duck waits and wonders if he'll ever see his friend again. Nominated for the California Young Reader Medal 2010-2011.
