After his mother died, Langston, with his hardworking and gruff father, moved from Alabama to the south side of Chicago. If that weren’t a hard enough transition, there are a group of boys that make fun of his way of speaking, his overalls and the fact that he’s a “country boy.” Trying to be under the radar and escape, he discovers an awesome place that opens his mind and his heart.
