Told in two parts - a senate committee hearing and 5th grader Tamaya’s point of view - “Fuzzy Mud” is the story of when science goes wrong. Tamaya attends a private school for those who are either smart or rich. The 7th grade boy she walks home with, Marshall, has angered the school bully and decides to take a shortcut through the woods one day. Not wanting him to go alone, Tamaya follows him. That is the first day they encounter strange looking mud that appears to be fuzzy in nature. An altercation takes place, one thing leads to another and within 60 days, the whole world is aware of the fuzzy mud and the consequences of coming in contact with it.
