Maryam is a young girl, who loves stories. She comes from a long line of storytellers. Maryam is fortunate enough to go to school and learn. Her mother reminds her that school is a privilege that was not always open to girls in Iran. Maryam loves most of the subjects except Math. She just doesn't understand it. That is until she is introduced to Geometry. Suddenly, all those seemingly magical shapes fit perfectly together like characters in a book. Maryam nurtures her newfound love for math further as she grows up eventually helping to develop The Magic Wand Theorem.
