Perfect Little World

Kevin Wilson
Description
Isabel Poole is in a real pickle when she finds herself pregnant at 18. The father is her art teacher with a lot of issues. Isabel knows she could be a great mother but with no real family, money or education it seems hopeless. Her problems might be solved when she meets Dr. Grind. With the backing of a billionaire, Dr. Grind is creating a The Infinite Family Project. The project is an experimental living arrangement in which ten families with newborns live and raise their children collectively. For the first five years, the children will not know who is their biological parent/parents. Isabel thinks this is the answer to her prayers and in the beginning it seems perfect; however, old issues in families surface, differing personalities emerge, and funding problems threaten the project. In addition, Isabel is experiencing deep feelings for Dr. Grind. Will Isabel be able to stay in the compound and participate in the project? Will any of the families? Written with humor and compassion, Perfect Little World tells the tale of what makes a family (hint: it's not always the one in which we are born).
