The summer before their junior year of high school, three girls are forced into joining a mother-daughter book club. Adrienne finds herself in the club after her rafting trip is canceled. CeeCee is there because she crashed her parent's car and as punishment can't go to Paris. Jill's mother signs them up to give Jill more time to socialize. Wallis joins voluntarily which the other girls find weird. They are not friends and have no desire to become friends; however, they will all discover new things about themselves and each other by the time summer is over. Schumacher's "The Unbearable Book Club for Unsinkable Girls" is a great summer read that is hard to put down.
