What would you do if there were no kitchen faucets? No water hoses? Princess Gie Gie knows. Every day Gie Gie and her mother make the trek to the well for water. At the well, she observes all the women talking, children playing and carrying pots similar to hers. Each night under the stars, she dreams of cool water coming to her village someday. “The Water Princess,” Is based on the life of model, Georgie Badiel who grew up in an African village and made the same trek as a child. Currently, her foundation works to bring clean and drinkable water throughout Burkina Faso.
