Felicity Pickle has finally moved home, or at least she has finally moved back to the place where her mother was born. For Felicity, home has been destination after destination thanks to her vagabond mom. Frannie Jo, her little sister, always carries a suitcase packed with all her prized possessions, just in case mom decides to leave on short notice. Felicity is occasionally awakened at night from the terrifying dream that her mother has moved on and forgotten about her. How can she convince her mom that staying in one place and putting down roots is just fine? Midnight Gulch, her home, is said to have been a place of magic once. They make ice-cream here that doesn't melt. Felicity hopes that there is just a little bit of magic left, enough to tame her mother's wondering soul.
