The Wild Lands

Paul Greci
Description

Unable to provide support to Alaska due to the worldwide scarcity of resources, the US government abandons the area. Not before the military ignites a series of fires that would leave the Alaskan landscape desolate and barren. If the US government can't use Alaska's resources, no one would. Once US citizens, now Alaskans must fend for themselves. Many choose to flee with the departing military. Three years later, Travis' family is forced to leave the area. Travis and his sister, Jesse, must traverse the wild landscape in search of civilization. Nature has regained control of the area. Without human encroachment, ravenous animals have thrived. The remnants of civilization have waned now there are only allies and foes desperate for food and shelter.
